Powersteering belt woes
I have a 86 firebird swapped to a 350 V8. I bought it like this.
It has a powersteering pump, pulley, and all the lines on it aleready. But I cant seem to find a V-belt to fit. There either too small or too big, is there a special belt I need?
The pulley has a extra slot in it for a AC belt to go on it, but I dont have AC.
Any help would be good! Driving without powersteering is hard after a while

Belts have a numbering system.
If it's a 4-digit #, 1st digit = width in 1/16"s; other 3 = length. Example 7455 = 7/16" wide, 45.5" long.
If it's a 5-digit #, 1st 2 = belt width in 1/32", last 3 = length. Example 15490 = 15/32" wide, 49.0" long.
Take your too-long and too-short belts, and go get one somewhere in between. Repeat until satisfied.
Seems to me the stock PS belt for the V-belt system = 7/16" and somewhere around 37.5" (7375), but my memory doesn't work very well. Don't trust me, just follow the instructions.
