Knock sensor install for brand new engine?
I had a 350 built with all new components including the block. I want to install a knock sensor to optimize timing & control detonation w/ the Holley commander ecu. The car originally didn't have a knock sensor, so I assumed I could just buy one and the module and hook it up to the computer. I called Holley and they claimed it wouldn't work since you need to know where to set the reverberation for the sensor. I probably won't be able to hear the detonation either, b/c I have a straight-thru exhaust after the turbo which is a little loud. Is there anything I can do to make it work?

You should be able to just install a 350 knock sensor.

Autozone has the sensor & module for an '85 TA. So just connect everything up to the ecu and I should be good to go?

I would think so, but I don't know why Holley would have told you that it couldn't be done.
