Pull the small cover off of the ECM that exposes the PROM. Check to make sure its fully seated. maybe even pull it off and re-seat it, just be caureful not to bend the pins!

Re: codes 51 and 53

I'm not sure if its related, and I'm about to do some testing, but i noticed my electric fan stopped working also.

The ECM is a new one, not even 6 months old, and the car was sitting for that time period. I had a garage install the ecm, as it was covered under warranty. This is the 3rd ecm in less then a year. I'm pretty sure there might be another problem that is burning up the ecm's, does anyone have any ideas what it might be?
