Is there a thermal switch which will not allow the engine to start if its too hot? I ran my scanner, the coolant temp is 208*F.

What else should I look for? The car has been running great, recently turning a 12.35sec 1/4 mile.

I turn the key and nothing happens, the starter motor will not engage or run at all. But I do have electric to run the power windos etc.

Let me guess: factory starter?

But no, there is no such switch.

Well, after sitting for two hours, the car started right up. no problems and a good idle.

And yes its the original starter in the car. Maybe its time for a high torque starter. Thank you for the response.
