Anyone thinking of using this, or have used it already?
Any word on wether this is useful?

No benefit whatsoever from something like that.

Re: Mini VIP

Why not?

Popular Hot Rodding had a little write up (probably from DUI) saying made improvements. I realize the potential snow job there...

But just say you can increase the spark gap with a good spark...any evidence of an improved burn and subsequent gain in power or reduced timing, etc.??

Re: Mini VIP

If you wanted to increase the voltage across the gap, you could do it the way it's been done for nearly a century, by changing the coil. Increasing the voltage alone won't show any gains though, there's either enough voltage to jump the gap, or there's not. An increased voltage would allow you to increase the gap slightly though, which might give you maybe a 1% increase in power if you're lucky.

If you're not already having ignition problems, then there's nothing to be gained by upgrading the ignition.
