Vacuum Hose Diagram? (engine wont start)

im not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this in, but does anyone have, or know where i can find, a Vacuum Hose Diagram, for an 87 305 TPI engine? we (my dad and i) spent the last month replacing the old engine and transmission, its finally done, the engine cranks over, but it wont start (its not getting any fuel to the engine, also we know the fuel pump isnt recieving a message to turn on and pumo the fuel,

we think it has somethign to do with the vacuum hoses maybey not being in the right spot, and possibly a wire is disconnected (we checked for litterally a good 3 hours yesterday, and the only wires disconnected were for the A/C and Smog pump, both of which are not on the car)

Check the distributor. The car won't run the injector or fuel pump without reference pulses from the distributor.

Re: Vacuum Hose Diagram? (engine wont start)

we figured it out, a fuse was blown where the switch would be, problem solved, and the thing runs, but the timing is way off, it feels way to slugish, apparently theres a tan and black wire (or somethign like that) that we need to find to adjust the timing, but we cant find the thing

I think the tan wire refers to the Electronic Advance in the distributor, which you must disconnect in order to set base timing. It's a plug which leads into the distributor body.
