no start

just put new edelbrock performer rpm heads, HSR, and cam in my car 85 camaro with a 327. also went to a external coil so the HSR will fit. problem is it will crank over but no start. pink wire to the coil gets teh 12 volts when it is on, new distributor and coil. checked all teh fuses and there all good and it does get fuel. one of the first times i tried to start it the tach pegged out and doesnt move and i dont think the white wire is shorted on anything... what could be keepin it from starting?

Re: no start

Is is spitting and spudering and not wanting to run or is it not doing anything and just spining over? Check your fireing order, and make shure the rotor is pointing to #1 sparkplug wire when cylinder 1 is at tdc.
