head anxiety

I recantly came into poss. of 90,s lt-1 with alluminum heads. Iknow the motor is reverse flow, but I am interested if its possible to swap the alluminum heads to a pre 87 block. At the risk of sounding ametureish i would appreciate any feedback. The motor i would like to mount them to currently has 882 casting heads on it. Thanx in advance.

Althou the LT1 can be modified to go onto the older gen1 block, the vortec heads are essentualy the same idea.
Keep the LT1 heads on the LT1 motor.
