head dilemma

Ok so Pretty soon here I am going to be building a 383 with about 11:1 compression, fully forged, with a big shot of juice. My problem is I can't decide Which heads to go with. Has anyone had any experience with the patriot 195s with the 2.05 valves? They seem like the cheapest pair of aluminum heads around, but all the LS guys are pretty impressed with patriot. If I do spend big money on heads I'll be buying AFRs. And if I'm spending that kind of money I'm just gonna go ahead and get the 210s. I basically jsut want to dig really deep into the 10's, maybe high 9's on a 300 shot, maybe bigger.

So Obviously the AFRs flow better and would make more power, but I still want to street drive my car. Would the 210s be overkill for a car that sees about as much street time as strip time? And are they really worth all the extra money? Especially considering I'm going to be building a nitrous junky of a motor....

Thanks for the help in advance guys.

P.S. Don't ask which cam I'm going with, because that all depends on the heads. It's gonna be a custom grind.

Re: head dilemma

I've never personally used either, but I don't think the AFR 210's would be overkill on a street 383.

Re: head dilemma

thanks man. It won't necessarily be a street motor. I'm going to have a custom cam ground to rev to 6500 and go well with a big shot of juice. I want to match the cam to the heads perfect to have to best power curve possible for the heads. I'm not gonna go spend the money on 210s and leave anything on the table. Every last CFM will be used.
