out of time?

out of time?
well it will just crank over and do nothing,but if i dump gas down tbi it will crank twice ,and not want to turn over to good so im thinking its 180 out?well turned distributor around dump gas down it now it backfired through exhaust.

If you dumped gas down the tb and it fired then it's obviously a fuel problem, not a spark problem. Turning the distributor would do nothing but possibly damage something. Make sure your injectors are firing properly and make sure your fuel pump is priming.

yea i have a 89 gmc jimmy and the same thing happened to me a while back. it would turn over fine but would only run when i poured gas down the tb. turned out fuel pump was gone. and ill tell ya dropping a 31 gallon tank that was almost full is not fun.

yea i realize now it was a fuel problem to begin with ,but now that i put a new dissy in it i don't know if i got it timed right.
