Transmission: 700r-4 built by me 3-4 z pack
Axle/Gears: 3.42
parts for afr 195's

i have the new afr 195 and you can't use stock self aligning rockers and i have to get harden pushrods,what are you guys running with your afr 195.

That's because of the guide plates I imagine.

I don't see a reason why you can't remove the guide plates and run SA rockers.

Just about every pushrod is hardened these days. If you're running BIG springs, and planning on going very high RPM, then get the better ones. If not, the basic $40 pushrods should be fine.

Sure, why not? Stick a washer under the studs if you need it to be the same height as with the guide plates, but I really don't think it matters.

hardened pushrods and regular rockers are cheaper than SA rockers, and regular pushrods, so you might as well do it right the first time. I run 1 piece chro moly pushrods and raised comp guideplates and am happy with my setup.
