I Just got a good 350 4 bolt block, and wanna get it turned into the 383 for my car, but i need to know what i gotta tell my machinist to do. i know it's gotta be bored .030 over, but is there anything else? and would anyone know an approximate cost for machine work?

 

You don't have to do anything special to the block. While its being assembled, you need to check clearances and do some grinding wherever needed, but that's it.
