Starter or Clutch Safety Switch?
The other day, I was driving my car around town doing errands. Started it up a number of times with no problems. Then I got in it, turned the key, and nothing. Lights worked, so it's not a battery problem. Tried it a number of times, nothing.
Gave it a couple of minutes while I walked around, cussing, kicking small children, etc. Got back in and tried it again, started right up. No problems since.
Several other times over the past few years, I've gone to start it, and nothing happened. I'd hold the key in the "start" position, and a second or two later, it would start.
Can anyone give me any ideas?
