i have a 91z28 with the 350 tpi, i installed a new alternator, then took it down the road and caught on it when it shifted it started making the rattling sound, my dad said it doesnt sound like a rod knock, i took off the passenger side valve covers and noticed all the lifters but 2 were loose tightend them and its still doing it, i dont know what to do, dont have the money to put it in the shop and i just know how to do the basic maintenance im only 22 but im trying to lean as much as possible please help

 

Hard to tell without hearing it. Is it spark knock? You might want to try a tank of premium and see if it helps. When you tightened the rockers, how did you do it? Was it running? Some will always be loose if it's not.
