best wiper blades?
just wondering what kind of wiper blades you guys use and what you find to be the best. i was looking at something like this:
http://www.autobarn.net/rain-x-latitude-series.html
or
http://www.autobarn.net/rainxweatherbeater.html
wondering if they'll boost wiping performance or anything. right now i have the bosch micro edge blades and they're decent.
any other good brands??
p.s. anybody ever heard of this stuff:

those RAIN-X wipers are terrific!!! the washer fluid additive seems like a waste of money. I use the normal RAIN-X wiper blades and the RAIN-X window treatment and its awesome, half the time I don't even need to use my wipers because with that treatment on there the rain just rolls right off.

I agree. I get rain and snow. Sometimes at the same time. My nice one doesn't see anything worse than clean dry roads. I even considered pulling the whole wiper assembly.
Rain-X. The best "gimmick" I ever bought.

Re: best wiper blades?
Ahh if the car cant get wet or full of crap why have it. My bird likes ice and snow. Seems the best blades for winter driving are the ones with a rubber sleeve over the blade body. This prevents ice from forming on the body and distorting the contact area of the blade. If you dont deal with ice then any blade will work fine. The cheaper Rainex ones are better for visibility the other ones with teflon and all that fancy crap actually wont clean as well they just keep the blade alive longer.

what do you recomend? do you know where i could get snow tires bridgestones blizzaks cheap
Re: best wiper blades?
I used to work at AutoZone and while there was warned by a fellow employee against the double-bladed wipers. He claimed that while they worked better in the rain they were heavier and would burn out the wiper motors. Don't know how true but sounds plausible. Also, I tried the Bosch wiper once and found they wouldn't conceal as well as the stock blades. I ended up going with simple NAPA replacements which concealed low and were cheaper anyway.

Re: best wiper blades?
pilot double wiper blades dont fit my 83 trans am, bosch icons dont fit i dont know about rainx latitudes. i am mechanic i used alot of wipers. rally double wiper blades i have never used or seen. i heard that myth too about double wiper blades. they may burnout them out in the snow but i dont know. in the rain no. that would make a good myth for mythbusters send it in and they can destroy another thridgen in the process.
Dont use mr. clean washer fluid, it dries out wiper blades faster.
