A Possible Conundrum?...What injectors do i have?
I was wondering if someone knew where i could cross reference the part numbers on my injectors, or heck, maybe someone knows off the top of their head what i have.
The injectors said:
RP 523530
I am only asking because i am doing an engine swap. The guy i bought it from said everything was stock on it. It's a 87' GTA t-tops loaded version, kind of a cool car. Anyhow i was under the assumption that those cars with t-tops cam with 305's, plus the sticker on the front of the car said it had a 305 in it. So i got an older style block, mind you the engine in the car is a new style one piece rear main, and sent it to the machine shop. A day before i go to the shop to pick up my block i pulled the engine out of the car and it had 5.7L stamped on the drivers side rear of the engine.
So to make a long story short I was trying to possibly figure out what other things might have been changed with the engine..possibly the injectors and maybe the ecm were taken out of a car that originally had a 350, who knows. I guess i would just like to know what i am working with.
And what would i have to look at to see if the ecm came out of a 350 car?
Thanks in advance for any help or info!
Tom

The RP stands for Rochester Products. Every RP number i've seen is 7 digits long. Are you missing one or is that all that's printed on the injector?
Get the part number off the ECM case. Also look at the numbers and letters on the memcal in the ECM. That'll tell you if it's a 305 or a 350 ECM.

That's not the part number. Most of it; but not all.
Could be 5235301, or 5235302.
Both are 20.5 lbs/hr @ 43.5 psi. Sorry to hear that.... I'd get out from under that thing ASAP if I was you. Those do NOTHING but steer you down the wrong road. In this case, perhaps obscuring the facts about what engine the car has in it; which I can assure you, WIIL NOT respond to your assumptions. It is what it is no matter what you assmue.
What is the 8th digit of the car's VIN?

The '165 ECM was used on both 305's and 350's
The ABUS calibration is for an '87 305, Pontiac, automatic, federal emssions, 3.23 or 3.27 rear ratio.
The injector number, 5235301, is for 19 #hr injectors as used on 305's.
For the block, the 5.7L (or 5.0L) should be in large raised cast in characters.
