lt1 starter

i heard that you can upgrade the big old factory starter with a smaller gear reduction starter from an lt1 correct???? would this lt1 starter work in a 88 gta

Yes the LT1 starter will bolt to any small block from about 80 up, and will work with a 12.8" flywheel or flex plate. Being in a GTA doesn't matter to it. Doesn't care too much about how the sheet metal is wrinkled.

OE interchangeable components, officially licensed
NOT OE.

One of those cheeep Far East knock-offs.... you lays your money down, you takes your chances.... Better buy a couple, and keep a spare in the trunk....
