I like SpitotRs' answer! I am a well versed Pontiac man. I have a few books that say the estimated top speed for a 1989 5.7 L Trans Am is 153 mph. You have basically the same motor as I do, though the fuel delivery system is a bit different (MAF/MAP). It has to be close, it is GM after all, LOL! I personally had my 5.7 L up to 125 mph and had to back off because I was too yellow to go any faster. I wasn't even close to the red. It had more to give. Disclaimer- I don't recommend trying this. LOL!
