My car wont start

1991 Pontiac Firebird 350
I have been working on this car for about 2and a half weeks straight now...it started out as a minor problem, it would sometimes just click when i would try to start it, then i would move the steering wheel and it would start up. Then it got worse and worse, i would have to turn the wheel harder and harder. Then one day not a sound, no click or any thing.
So far i have
-BATTERY IS GOOD
-ALTERNATOR GOOD
-REPLACED STARTER AND SOLENOID BRAND NEW
-START ENABLE RELAY GOOD
-WIRES IN STEERING COLUMN FOR VATS GOOD
-WIRES TO VATS PASS KEY DECODER MODULE GOOD
-NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH GOOD
-ALL WIRES IN THESE SYSTEMS GOOD
So far the only probelm i have found is that a connector in the engine compartment has melted. However this connection has somthing to do with the blower motor relay. so i dont believe that it is the problem.
If anyone has any idea's i would greatly appreciate the help. This problem is getting the best of me.
Thanks

Re: My car wont start

that makes two of us....a few weeks ago i took mine to the dealer for a similiar problem, found out the starter was shorted out and i know they did some wire repair under the dash. before i took it in it also disabled the fuel pump so i couldnt even push start it.

and now it started doing it again intermittently...did it 3 times last week i think..... so i cant wait to hear some suggestions on this topic as well
