Yes, the speedometer works just fine, except for, of course, when accelerating at speeds of around 0-20 the needle jumps around between 0 and 20. Then it settles down when speeds reach around 30, of which it stays steady. Is that normal?

Could be the EGR if it comes on while cruising for extended periods of time. Check the codes and post back!
