Will not start, no electricity either.

last night i was leaving my girlfriends house. started up the car, no problems, then drove off, about 50 feet away, my car just killed. electricity dropped and engine seized.

from there no electricity was going to the car. no lights, nothing. when putting inthe key no sounds, no click, no lights, dead.

any idea what this could be? could it be a fuse?

Re: Will not start, no electricity either.

Fusible link, at the starter.

They are pieces of relatively small wire that act as fuses to protect the large wires that feed battery into the car.

Look at the post on the starter where the pos batt cable hooks up; it'll be one of the smaller wires that also go to that post.

Relax, it's unlikely the engine is siezed unless you have tried to turn it over manually and it won't.
Since the lights circuit is totally seperate from the ignition it's not a fuse.
Your problem is most likely battery cable or battery problem.
Check the stud on the starter where end of the battery cable is connected to the fuse links.

Depends on how much he knows about electricity and if he starts by pulling the dash out...
