bore blended to combustion chamber ?

So I'm putting the EQ Lightening 350 vortec heads on my 305. Valve clearance will be fine, but is there any gain to matching the combustion chamber shape to the deck? The cc measures almost 4" at it's widest. If so, how much can be chamfered or radiused safely?

Re: bore blended to combustion chamber ?

I wouldnt bother. to blend them will cause a very thin wall at the top of the bore. if it were a siamesed block I would say go for it. too high a chance for a coolant leak into a cylinder
