starting and running problem

I have a 1971 Nova that i have done a TPI swap on.

I have got the thing to run but i am having a few problems, but the biggest one is that the engine will not start or stay running unless the throttle is wide open. after it starts running i can let off of it a little, but it will eventually die. I checked my TP sensor and it seems to be reading backwards. when the throttle is closed the computer is seeing WOT, when it is WOT it sees closed throttle. I am pretty sure this is the problem but i would like to see what some of you think it could also be if it doesn't fix it.

Re: starting and running problem

deffinately get your TPS reading correctly before you do any other troubleshooting, if you dont all kinds of problems can occur. get a new TPS if it reads the same you may have to change your connector pinout.
