Cold start up question

Well,

whenever I start up my car in the morning (colder morning especially) the engine starts up goes to about 1400RPM than drops to 1100 (while warming up) than drops to 900 and than 500-600 when warmed up.

All of this is normal except the first one. My TBI engine used to start up that way, so I am thinking its ok. But, I get a bit worried starting it like that cold. Is this a problem or should I not worry about it?

Re: Cold start up question

I never drove a TPI car, but I think all the EFI cars do that for emissions reasons. I wouldnt worry about it.

That's what it's supposed to do.
