rough idle, 88 TPI

my 88 TPI car idles very rough and usually stalls when in park or neutral, idles fine in drive. checked the fuel pressure and its good, cleaned the hell out of the IAC, i dont wanna spend $65 on a new IAC if thats not the problem, anyway to know if its working? what does it consist of inside? i cleaned out the whole throttle body also

the car only has one trouble code, 36, maf burnoff, its always had this code and had it before this problem.

all the vacuum lines have been checked

car has no smog and no charcoal canister, again had this problem before removal

Re: rough idle, 88 TPI

I had put a new MAF in my car about two months ago and it started doing that samething the other day. When the SES light came on the other day i pulled the same code (36 burn off). I'm lucky because the MAF was covered and i got a new one free. I'm saying that is what your problem is but my car does run 110% again.
