Witch engine oil for 1984 Firebird

Hi,

Which engine oil is the best for a 1984 Firebird?
I mean mineral or synthetic. And for how many kilometeres?

I dont know about the oils where you are but our newest API rated oils for gas engines are missing the ZDDP (zink) additive. This is ruff on flat tappet cams and could lead to a non-roller car eating its cam. You can thank the tree huggers and EPA for this.

I run Delo 400 oil in everything now. Its a HD diesel oil that still has the ZDDP in it. If you dont want to run the diesel oil then just ad a bottle of Delco EOS at each oil change. That will save your non-roller cam.
