Easiest way to pull the egr valve?
Title pretty much sums it up.
88 Iroc, 350/700R4.
Gotta put a new EGR valve in, what's the easiest way to get at it? It looks like it's under the plenum but I can't be sure, so much vacc lines in the way.
Any help fellas?

it is under the plenum., you need to take the bolts off the top of the runners, and then pull plenum off carefully, alot of things are hooked up to your throttle body and plenum. then you will be able to see the egr

Yeah, I believe that's where it is. On my new 1991 350 engine, I had the TPI off, all the hoses off, with the engine on a stand, soaked the bolts with WD-40, and I still couldn't get the dang bolts loose! With the fuel rails still attached, there's just no room to get a wrench or socket in. So, if your bolts are tight and you can't find a special wrench or swivel combo that does it, perhaps you'll have to remove the fuel rails? I didn't, cause I've never done that before, and didn't want to have to buy gaskets or risk ruining my fuel injectors or lose parts. So, the EGR valve is now the only rusty thing on my engine. Probably original.
