Oil pressure question
when i recently put together my engine i noticed that the oil pressure sender took a dump on me, i verified gauge operation by appling ground to the lead and reading below 0 psi and disconnected got above 50 psi. I replaced the sender this weekend and when i turn the engineon it goes up to about 57-58 psi and goes clghly above 60 when accelerating it. Does this mean i have a high pressure pump or i have a possible restriction somewhere?

Re: Oil pressure question
might be a bad sender or it's not making contact. Did you put a lot teflon tape on the threads?

Re: Oil pressure question
sorry took so long to reply yes the old sender was bad and no i didn't put too much teflon on the threads just enough to seal. the new oe works just reads a bit high a wonder if its normal or what
btw i made sure to get the sender for 60 psi gauge and not 80 psi

Re: Oil pressure question
When my sender broke, I grabbed one from my garage and it did exaclty what yours is doing. I then went to the store and bought a new one and it worked great until last week. The friggin spade connector broke off, the same happened to the other one as well.
