Horn help
Horn help
I know this is a stupid question, but the horn on my 92 Trans Am isn't working. I am trying to figure out what is wrong and from a quick look around can't locate the horn. Can someone give me a quick description of where the actual horn would be located?

Mine are inside the driver's side fender, just in front of the fenderwell.

did you find your and your problem, i dont know where mines at, its not working and trying to find out why.

Like 57kid said, they're in the drivers side fender. On birds you'll have to pull the battery.
They're easy to diagnose. Usually the connector just gets corroded causing a bad contact. Power goes through the wire. The ground for the horn is it's mounting point to the car.
Jiggle the connectors. There are 2 horns. If you get nothing.....apply 12 volts right from the battery to the connector tabs on the horns. You could also just use a meter and check for voltage when the horn button is pressed but it can be difficult to do that without a second person. If that doesn't work you could check the ground but that's rarely the issue. Time for new horns.
There is a fuse to check.
There's also a stupid plastic plug in the steering wheel for the horns. All it is is a springloaded holder that i've actually found broken on my car.
