map sensor vac line?

map sensor vac line?

ok i cant find the line that goes to my map. previous owner removed it as far as i can tell. where does it start from???on a 84 3o5?

You have a MAP sensor? On an 84? I was not aware that they came with them.

The vacuum line to the map should originate from a nipple at the back of the carb baseplate adjacent to the vacuum brake booster tube.

thanks, yeah it has a map sensor near the passenger side mounted to a bracket next to the a/c canister

the map sensor on an 84 LG4 is located on the drivers side, on the fire wall, near the brake booster. As stated above it is fed by a line from a manifold vacuum source on the back of the carb. The sensor that looks just like it towards the passenger side is the "baro" sensor (barometric pressure). This sensor remains open to the atmosphere.
