Will start, and then won't start..
Will start, and then won't start..
1986 camaro 305
This car has been acting up for a while now. One second it will start and run great, the next it will run shabby and repeatedly stall. I recently installed a new carburetor in it but after that it would not start. So I put the old carburetor back in, but the problem is that it still will not start, ruling out a bad carburetor..
It has a new fuel pump and carburetor, and the ECM is okay and the distributor seems to get spark. So basically it cranks but just will not start. Any ideas?

Try some seafoam in the gas tank. do a search on this website about seafoam to get more info. and then change the fuel filter.

You may be getting moisture in the gas tank. Try some heet or stp, something that removes water. And if works but the problem keeps coming back change your gas cap. Also does your car have two filters. One inline and on in the carb.
