Oil pan rails
When I took off my oil pan I had 2 pieces that where in the shape of the oil pan rails and had holes for the bolts to go threw. What are they? And should I put them back on? Where they part of the old gasket? Because my new gasket doesn’t have them

Re: Oil pan rails
hmmmm, i know valve cover hade "load spreders" that went under the bolts, now if you had this on you oil pan it should match up with your factory holes.... if thats the case i would use it, but if its not like this.....maybe some pics would help, i have seen "load spredears" on oil pans before, but they match up with oil pan holes

Re: Oil pan rails
I remembered what they are for. They are for the bolts to spread the load. They go on the out side of the oil pan, and not on the inside like I thought for some reason... Thanks for the help!
