Dyno tunned with a N20 plate and a 1" spacer. Filter hits a little, can I run .5"?

Just as the title says, I have a N20 plate and a 1". I only ran the 1" so that I could use the port on it. I have since T'ed into some other place and don't need it. I got it dyno tunned with these spacers and they did a great job. Car doesn't make as much power as I want, but that is a separate issue.

Can I install a 1/2" spacer in place of the 1" spacer with NO negative effects? I have a wide band hooked up but would like to not touch the carb since it got dyno tunned. I guess 1/2 a turn here or there, isn't so bad, but will the carb really get thrown off by such a small change?

Could I go as far as to just omit the 1" all togeather?

And if I do, is there any way to know if my motor "wants" the no spacer? Or do I have to go back to the dyno? Thanks for any insight.

A spacer is really just a tuning tool; much like a jet change or something. It's hard to predict whether it will help or hurt in any given situation, or by how much.

So yeah, you'd pretty much have to go back to the dyno to know really for sure; or, to the track, and do back-to-back-to-back runs with & without.
