I have searched high and low online to find a way to locate a specific year for a 4.3ltr Vortec V6 motor I bought from a buddy of mine for a Jeep project that never got finished. I have lost interest in the Jeep and want to sell this motor but dont remember what he told me it was out of. I know it came out of a full size chevy truck that was t-boned with around 50k miles but I cant remember the year. I have found a few sites that list V8 info but nothing on a V6. I tried calling the stealership but they didnt want to help and told me there was no way for them to tell from a number off the block what vehicle it came from. Surely that was B.S.! I want to sell this thing so I can spend the money on upgrades for the Firebird but want to have some good info on ebay so I can get what this thing is worth.
