How much longer will it live?

I have a .030 over 79 truck block 305 in my IROC and now its blowing smoke through the pcv and breather, and has started to miss. The motor only has 30K on the rebuild, but i let a friend borrow it and it was SEVERELY overheated to the point of where the upper radiator hose was almost split completely in half , i'm really surprised that the radiator tanks are still on it! My question is how much longer do you think it will live, according to the stock oil pressure gauge its still carrying decent pressure, its my daily driver, and i'm really short on cash, so if there is anything i can do to prolong its life i would like to do it. So what do you guys think? Will it run a while? Uncertain?

Re: How much longer will it live?

do a compression test on the motor see if you can find a weak cylinder... if you do find one try a leak down test if the compression doesent come back up its the head.
