my cousins EGR valve went bad and his new one should be here tomorrow. he has an 88 iroc with the 350tpi. we bought the valve and an intake gasket. after talking to a couple people they thought there was a trick to getting this done without taking the intake off? can anyone confirm this?

we're trying to get his car ready for the autocross here in central IL this weekend. nothing like bad timing!

At the very least, you have to remove the plenum for sure. The fuel rail and runners being removed will give you more room to work with, but the upper plenum has to come off no matter what.
