This might be a stupid question but I want to make sure things are okay. Before I put my heads on, when I would turn the crank with all the pistons in sometimes it would get hard to turn. But with the crank bolt on it never went over 30 ftlb. I measured this by using my torque wrench on the crank bolt. I think its okay but it has me worried a little so I just want to make sure, thanks for the help.

30 ft-lbs is about right. I'd say anything in the 20-35 range would be pretty normal. So there's nothing wrong with what you're seeing.
