Fan switch?
I need to know which one i should get, on my way to do emissions my fan just stopped working, and i had to move my ac over to max to force it on i found that the swtich is bad and i was wondering which one i should get, i was looking at a hypertech that goes on at 176 and off at 166, is that good for a stock RS?

Re: Fan switch?
Running that cool of a switch without a 160 stat would, in theory, turn fan on and not turn it off again until engine cools. If your running a 190 stat coolant would never cool enough in head, because of the 190 to turn fan off. If going for emmission testing I would think that you would want it hot like the factory had it set up. The thermostat might have an effect on passing 190 vs 160. I had a 160 hypertech stat with the hypertech thermomaster chip and a lower temp fan switch and the temp never went over 170. Fans cycled on and off like they should. But for emmisions I would set it up factory, after you have sticker, do what ya like!
