Question about IAC Adjustment
My car idles like crap and some times just dies so I thought it could be the IAC. I did exactly what the Tech article says to do. But when ever I start the car to adjust 'minumin air' the IAC makes a loud buzzing sound. I this normal or am I doing something wrong? Or does it mean that my IAC is broken?

Re: Question about IAC Adjustment
I've never heard an IAC make any buzzing sound... so my guess is its malfunctioning.
Hope this helps.

Re: Question about IAC Adjustment
Sure. I've had the IAC make a noise that could be interpreted as buzzing when the ALDL was grounded and the ignition turned on. Thats normal, wait a bit for it to move all the way then unplug it. Shouldn't be able to make noise then. Then start the car and set minimum air to spec - around 450 rpm for stock cars, higher if you've modifyed it. Once you get that set then shut the car off and plug the IAC back in. Restart and you should be all set. If it's buzzing loud enough to hear over a running motor, you probably have an issue with it.
