pulldown unit issuse

~I have searched~
Hello everyone,
i have a pulldown unit from an 87 which is power. It is the version with the blue wire that hase the big clearish conncetor that goes into a red wire with a white stripe. There is a white wire that just is chillin there. i was told by lon at TDS that it is not used in on my stlye. mine also has the manual light switch, which works.
i have the ground wires hooked up. The relay is new. Everything is hooked up that i see, and as far as i know its in the right spot too.

PLEASE help me figure this out. i dont have a multi meeter/ DVOM or test light. Can some one post a pic of their working set-up so i could compair it to mine. btw i never had it working so i bought one off ebay.

Re: pulldown unit issue

If a wiring diagram will help you, pm me your e-mail address and I will send you the wiring diagrams I have on cd. There is probably a fuse for the pull down unit you can check. You can locate the correct fuse for the pull down unit by looking in your shop manual. My `88 Iroc also has the white wire that is not used. Do you know where the switch is on the pull down unit? I am not able to send you any pics but there are some good ones of the pull down units on this site. Here`s one, if you can`t get it I will try to send it to you.

Re: pulldown unit issuse

Toxik, I just tried the address I gave you and no luck. Go to the "search" at the top of the page and type in : pull down unit pics. Several old posts with good pics are there. I can send you the wiring diagrams if you need them. Jim
