Fuel cell problems

So I got a fuel cell that measured 9 inches in height and installed it in the stock tank location. Put stiffer suspension springs in too, and when I dropped the car I got only two inches of clearance between the pumpkin and the cell. This is with the stock 7.5, and I plan on changing it to a moser 12 bolt, which im sure has a larger diameter pumpkin, which would decrease that clearance even more.

So im pulling it out and am looking for one to fit in the trunk, but arent having any luck finding one over 5 gallons. So I might make my own at work, but I cant seem to think of a good idea of how to attach the an fittings...except welding them in. I really hate doing **** twice.

Any thoughts here?

Or maybe someone knows of where I can get a cell that will fit in the stock location? I see them often.....mine's 9" and I guess 7 would be ok.?
