Re: HELP WITH IDLE PROBLEM PLEASE

If it's idling that fast the ECM should be setting a code or two.
Pull the codes.
Do a search on IAC (idle air control), it may be stuck or not responding.
The "Hypertech Thermomaster Performance Prom Chip" may be for a different setup and is telling it to idle that fast.
Also, the LT1 cam may not be compatable with the TPI setup on a 5.0 motor.

Re: HELP WITH IDLE PROBLEM PLEASE

How'd you check for vacuum leaks? Listening? Propane?
I had a vacuum leak that no method found until I used carb cleaner. Dangerous, yes, but I found the leak. I didn't have any starting fluid. Surprisingly to me the engine bogged when I found the leak.
A fire extinguisher must also be handy.

You could also start pulling hoses and plugging them with your finger/thumb. The car should still run even with the PCV and or brake booster vacuum lines disconnected.

Also, what's your TPS set at?
