buying a 84 camaro

getting an amazing deal, only a few problems with the car, its an 84 camaro:

1. passanger side window dosnt go down
2. small oil leak, the guy says where the dipstick goes into the motor, the rubber ***** off, is this common, or can it be somthing else
3. there is a leak in the firewall, and it leaks onto the floor, looks like im going to have to pop the dash out and fix it,

just wondering if these are common problems with the older 3rd gen camaro's and if it isnt to hard to fix these problems, thank you for reading!

I've never seen rubber around the dipstick??? I just replaced my oil dipstick on my 89 and there is no rubber anywhere on it (and I got it from GM). It just shoves into a hole in the pan. I would look into this further.

Before you rip out the dash (which is usually a pain on our cars), I would check the windshield for leaks first.

Just my 2 cents.

Hope this helps!

That leak is more likely the windshield than the firewall.

The leak onto the floor, if on the passenger side, most likely is the heater core.

True, if it smells like antifreeze and the windows fog up.
