I was just wondering if anybody has a part number for a belt to put on my engine after doing an AC and smog pump deletion. I have an L98 TPI engine. Thanks in advance.

I kinda just wanted to pull it all out of there rather than have crap take up space if at all possible. Where could I find delete pullys though and how much do they go for?

Ok. I have a 92 z28 TPI. I have the AC delete pully on it. If im not mistaking you have to run the AC delete pully so you can have the belt tensioner. But on the whole smog pump delete, I have the delete pully but I dont really think that will work taking the pully completly off. Yes you do get rid of one pully but you have to run the belt a different way. When I took my smog pump delete pully off the only way me and a friend of mine could find to run it was making the belt to tight. So to correct that problem you would have to get a longer belt, but the way I look at it, the whole point of taking the pully off would be to take less drag off the belt for faster and higher RPM's. Therefor putting a longer belt on would defete the purpose......am I right?

I don't think that the engine can tell in any way how long the belt is. I will buy that having to turn more - or less - pulleys, could make a very slight difference, but not belt length. With the AC delete pulley, and no smog pump (or pulley) in its spot, my car uses about a 92.5" belt. Depending on the parts store (and how capable the guy behind the counter is) they may give you a funny look when you ask for a belt by its length instead of a direct part# or what it fits.

Hmm... i should've thought of the whole tensioner deal. I'm used to looking at that thing on my cutlass (aka 'sweet winter ride') where it's separate and likes to break when I have belle tire do a diagnostic.... anyway, i looked on ebay and saw the delete pulleys in the $50 range... so after that and around $10 for a new belt, what can i expect as far as hp gains go?
