not much, but if you do it right (which isnt hard) you will see a boost in throttle response and "seat-of-pants" power for sure.

If you were to port the heads on a stock LG4 305 you'd gain about 10-15hp.
if you were to port the heads on a LG4 that has other performance upgrades,
you could see as much as 60 additional hp over the stock head.
the more radical the rest of the motor is, the more a ported head will help make power.

After exhaust, camshaft, and air cleaner upgrades - porting heads give you the 50-60HP gain F-bird is talking about. For under $1500 or so grand total i'd hope.
