engine building books

i was wondering if any one has any sugestions for a good book on how to build chevy engines that is real indepth step by step with all the information that anyone would need to build an engine

I concur. The best one i've read yet.

"racing engine builders handbook" is ok, but more for someone who just bought all the machining tooling to build a pure race engine, and has no idea how to use it.
