ok so heres the deal i have a 305 TPI. And this is how it started, i filled my tank a couple weeks ago started the car and it ran just fine. now i went from the pump to the gas station exit and i noticed something was different. i looked down and the car was no longer running. so i stated it again it almost died than went back to its normal idle. so i put it in neutral and ran the rpm's a little higher. so i went on the main road and was about to make a u-turn and when i slowed down to make the turn and came to a stop, it died again. so it died one more time after that. now i went home which was about a 30 minute drive from where i was. i was coming off the highway and when i came to a stop it almost died again, finally i made it home popped the hood and could see nothing out of place. so i assumed it was bad gas and so did the other employee's at my job. well the car ran perfectly the next day. and it has been about a month now and guess what it started again. went in a store came out and it ran just fine. so im stumped. i know its not bad gas. so if you guys could provide a little info as to what i can do, or need to do that would be great.

 

check the fuel pressure at the rail... the pump could be failing.

 

Hey bob8703, If your fuel pressure is good - check your ignition module,it too could be going bad. I've had your very symptoms before thinking it was bad gas. Drained gas tank and refilled - still stalled and died. Removed ignition module from the distributor and had it checked - you guessed it -
bad. Hope you get it fired up soon!
