engine dieing

Its hard to explain but ill do my best. When you start the car it idles for a split second then drops RPMS and dies. STart it up and it does it again. Start it again and rev it up for about 5 seconds and let up and it will idle. It SEEMS that the colder it is the more likely it is to do it.

I have no idea what this is or were to start. any help would be greatly apprcieated.

the car is a 92 RS 305 TBI
700R4. All stock with only 96,000 on the ticker. Thanks again

Re: engine dieing

could be a possible idle air control or throttle position sensor.
