what heads do i get?
ok well it looks like im in for new heads and i got some questions on what to get.
i want good performance but i dont want to go over $1500 for the heads
i've heard good things about dart and afrs but i was told to get cast darts because itd be best
my engine is a 350 with stock bore and pistons, it has a 274 comp cam and a rpm air gap intake...what kind of flows and size of heads should i get with the brand, i will buy the assembled ones
so i need to know whether to go cast, aluminum, and what size to go with, any help would be great!

These Brodix IK200 64cc heads are just the ticket for your 350

You will probably do best with runners in the 180-195 range.
If you get cast iron, look for 64cc chambers; aluminum, go for 58cc.
Dart, Trick Flow, Brodix, or the Jeg's heads which are Canfields, might be good choices. If this is entirely street driven, and good street behavior is imprtant (gas mileage, low-end torque, etc.), the Edelbrocks would be a good choice also; won't make the most power, but may be the most suitable for a daily driver. AFRs are great but not if you're in a hurry. Whatever you pick, get them with the first "upgrade" to the valve train, not the "basic" setup; that will be 1.45" springs, set up for .550" lift.

Re: what heads do i get?
ya this is my daily driver, im liking those brodix heads and they are a nice price, so would aluminum heads be better then cast. i know it saves weight but does it have other advantages
the afr's i probably won't get because i'm looking to get them real quick...

Re: what heads do i get?
i've got a set of edelbrock performer aluminum heads that have less than 3 hours of run time on them for 1000.00 plus shipping from bakersfield, ca 93314 they also have roller tip rockers on them. the heads are 1219.00 in the summit catalog and the rockers are 260.00. the edelbrock part number is EDL 60859.

Re: what heads do i get?
i guess summit doesn't sell these in ill? check the catalog-heads are 1219.00, rockers are now 329.95, guide plates are 25.99. and they are only aluminum, gold would be slightly higher. the heads have about 3 hours of run time on them-they are still new. just in case you can't add these would cost you 1574.94 through summit.
