Car wouldnt start!! but once started ran perfect
i have a 350 chevy simple carb set up
been driving the car. its been runnin great. drove it to a store the last night but when i got back in the car it wouldnt start??? was turning and getting plenty of gas (obviously wasnt getting spark)
so after 15minutes i called a buddy to come pick me up because it was late and didnt want to mess with it at night.
and about 15minutes of trying to turn the motor over i gave it one last try and it fired up on the first turn??? once the car was started it ran perfect all the way home with no loss of power or any other symptom..
any help? possibly the module?
there is ONE more thing but i believe it to be unrelated. for about a week when i turned the car off the motor would bog one turn?? for example, id put the car in park and turn the key off the motor would die then instantly bog one more turn? i dont know what that was about

Re: Car wouldnt start!! but once started ran perfect
Sounds like 2 separate problems. Yes, it could be the module. It could also be the coil getting flaky or the mag pickup in the distributor. Heat is what kills electrical parts. Heat and time. Anything electrical is subject to eventual failure (ourtight or intermittent) when exposed to underhood temps for XX years. A no-start when heat-soaked (shut down and left to sit for a while after being run) is classic electrical/ignition failure.
